From 28 September 2007 to 14 May 2008
Paris, the capital of France, dreams of becoming a basketball capital too. A few years ago it finally began to look as if Paris’s basketball club had everything it needed to ...
top the French league once more: a solid, promising team, motivated staff and a widening audience.
However, the club failed to notch up any major victories even as funds ran low. The future did not seem to hold out much hope. Then an announcement was made that would provide fresh impetus: the Paris Basket Racing and the Levallois SC clubs would join forces (physical, technical and financial) to have a fighting chance of competing with the top-level French clubs.
So 2007 will see the club back in the ring. Led by T.J. Parker, the younger brother of star player Tony, the Paris Levallois players will be looking to win a national title, now within their grasp. Paris Levallois will be playing this season’s matches at the Salle Pierre de Coubertin and the Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan de Levallois, with two matches scheduled at the POPB.
Fighting spirit, suspense, thrills, blind passes, dunks and three-point shots are on the cards: hurry and get your season tickets!
