L’Archipel

Chipel_110_154One day, a lover of both films and music decided to invest in a cinema, with the idea of also hosting affordable concerts in order to give much wider audiences the chance to appreciate music. This is how the Archipel came into being, in a neighbourhood where the focus nowadays is more on theatre - a return to its original musical vocation of the beginning of last century.

Why choose the name Archipel?

In the words of its manager, because «the Archipel aims to be meeting-place for all kinds of people, open to all kinds of music, acting as a connection, just like the sea that links the islands of an archipelago.»

This original venue is made up of two theatres, one with a stage and a cosy bar, giving performers and spectators the opportunity to mingle.

To celebrate its fifth anniversary during the coming autumn, the Archipel offers a festive cocktail to music lovers and film buffs from September 12 to October 31: surprises, such as JF Zygel’s classical cabaret, a programme of classical, baroque and contemporary pieces; a cycle of gipsy and contemporary jazz; the monthly rendezvous of Paris guitar; world music; French chanson and a music and film programme. Come along and join in, for some enjoyable moments with performers of all horizons!
